Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 16 at 10:00 a.m. when local Lincoln expert Kim Bauer will present “Lincoln and the Children,” an entertaining look at the importance of Abraham Lincoln in children’s lives. From the familiar story of a young girl advising Abe to grow a beard to the tale of the boy last photographed with Lincoln, Bauer will weave history and storytelling into a program you don’t want to miss. Kim Bauer is current Executive Director for the Coles County Historical Society and former “Lincoln Curator” for the State of Illinois.
