Forsyth Library News

New Databases Available

Monday, August 20, 2012

The Forsyth Public Library has added 10 new databases, available from home for anyone with a Forsyth library card or accessible in the library for all library users.  The additions include Biography in Context, Books & Authors, Legal Forms Library, General OneFile, Health & Wellness Resource Center, Kids InfoBits, Opposing Viewpoints in Context, Infotrac Newsstand, Powerspeak Languages, and Testing & Education Reference Center.   Access these databases by clicking on "Materials Search" in the right-hand green box on the front page of our web site or on the top toolbar, then click "go" next to the database you want to use.  The log-in page will ask for a password, which is your library card number.

Another new online resource from the Forsyth Public Library is Morningstar Investment Research Center.  This is a trial database, temporarily available to allow Forsyth residents to try it.  As with the other databases, your library card number is your password.  The link to Morningstar is also available in the "Materials Search" section of the Library's web page.

In addition to these new databases, the library continues to offer access to eLibrary and Grolier Online, which includes Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, America the Beautiful, Lands and Peoples, and the New Book of Popular Science.  These databases also are available from both home and library and use your Forsyth Library card number as your password.
