Here’s what is coming up at Forsyth Public Library:

Monday, June 17 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. drop-in ~ Scavenger Hunt

Stop by each Monday in June and July for a QR Code scavenger hunt. Discover new clues at the library each week for a chance to win a prize! Once you crack the clue, use a device to scan the QR code. The scavenger hunts are open to all ages and no registration is necessary.

Monday, June 17 @ 10 a.m. ~ Zumba Party

The world’s most popular group exercise class is coming to the library! Join us for Zumba every Monday in June and July from 10-11 a.m. in the community room. From beginners to advanced, all adults and teens are welcome. Please wear tennis shoes and clothes suitable for workout.

Monday, June 17 @ 1-2 p.m. ~ Writer-in-Residence

Join local suspense author J.D. Webb to learn more about writing and becoming published. Anyone ages 10 and up is encouraged to meet with Mr. Webb for informal one-on-one consultations.

Tuesday, June 18 @ 10 a.m. ~ Dance with Me

Dance and learn with your little one at the library! Join Michi Barber from the Dance Centre as she encourages development through music and dance. Sessions are geared for ages 16 months through 3 years, but all children not yet in kindergarten are welcome. No registration is required.

Tuesday, June 18 @ 2 p.m. ~ Silly Safaris

Silly Safaris brings a variety of reptiles, mammals, birds, and bugs for a live animal show that is the perfect blend of fact and fun. All are welcome to attend our Tuesday shows at 2 p.m. each week and no registration is required.

Weds. June 19 @ 9:30 a.m. ~ Baby TALK

Families with children ages birth to 3 are invited to our Baby TALK sessions on Wednesdays throughout the year from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Baby TALK is free with no registration required.

Weds June 19 @ 1 p.m. ~ Teen Food Challenge

Illinois Extension’s 4-H program brings the Teen/Tween Food Challenge! Teens will go up against their opponents to prepare nutritious meals and snacks in a fun and competitive way. Please register in advance.

Thurs. June 20 @ 12:30 or 2:30 ~ Kids Cook

Kids will learn about nutrition and create some of their own dishes using provided ingredients in this class led by the Illinois Extension’s 4-H staff. Please register in advance.

Friday, June 21 @ 10 a.m. ~ Story Time – Picnics

Story Time fun for ages 2-5. No registration required and siblings are welcome.

Friday, June 21 @ 10 a.m. ~ Bookkeepers Book Discussion Group

The Bookkeepers Book Discussion Group will meet to discuss The Reckoning by John Grisham. All adult readers are welcome.

Saturday, June 22 @ 10 a.m. ~ Genealogy Basics

Are you ready to trace your family’s history, but not sure how to start? Instructor Donna Schaal will help beginning genealogists discover how to research and record family information. No registration is required.
