Join us for these fun events at the Forsyth Public Library:

 

Monday, June 4 @ 11:30 a.m. – Community Watch

Join us in the Community Room at Forsyth Public Library for a potluck meal. Fried chicken will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share.This month’s speakers are Katelyn and Chloe Keyes and Maria Perujo, who will talk about the Ice Tea Challenge fundraisers being organized by young people to support the ALS Association’s research and patient programs.Community Watch is open to everyone and no reservations are required.

Tuesday, June 5 @ 10-11 a.m. - Youth Garden

Young gardeners are invited to help plant the library's flower bed, then make a seed bomb to take home. No registration is required but please note that in case of inclement weather the event will be held on Friday, June 8 from 10-11 a.m.

Tuesday, June 5 @ 2-3 p.m. – Jonathan May, Comedy Magician

Get ready an engaging and entertaining experience filled with laughter, surprises and interactive fun for all ages.No registration necessary.

Wednesday, June 6 @ 9:30-10:15 a.m. - Baby TALK

Baby TALK meets every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Forsyth Public Library for ages birth to 3. No registration is necessary.

Wednesday, June 6 @ 1-2 p.m. – Cell Phone Speakers

Bring your cell phone or iPod and create your very own speakers using just a cardboard tube and two paper cups! Teens and Tweens (ages 10 and up)Registration required.

Wednesday, June 6 @ 1-2 p.m. – Zumba Party

The world’s most popular group exercise class is coming to the library!Join us for Zumba every Wednesday in June from 1-2 p.m. with instructor Jenny Ahlswede.From beginners to advanced, all adults are welcome.Please wear tennis shoes and clothes suitable for workout.

Thursday, June 7 @ 10-11 a.m. – Car Story Time

Story Time fun for ages 2-6. No registration required.

Thursday, June 7 @ 10:30-11:30 a.m. – Vehicle Showcase:Cars

All ages are welcome.No registration is required.In the case of inclement weather, the vehicle showcase will be canceled. 

Thursday, June 7 @ 12:30-1:30 p.m. OR 2:30-3:30 p.m. – Balloon Animals

Be the life of the party with balloon animal creations!Join magician Rick Eugene as he teaches kids to use specialized balloon pumps to inflate, twist and shape spectacular balloon animals.Ages 6 and up.Please register in advance.

Saturday, June 9 @ 10-11 a.m. – Duct Tape Boats

How well will your boat float? Can it win a race? Come make, decorate, and race your very own duct tape boat. Adults and kids will work together and can make one boat per child, or one per family, as preferred.This program is for ages 6 and up with an adult and advance registration is required.
