Dear mother: We got a message at 8 o'clock last night that John's Pa could not live until Morning. John went to tell Emma and John. Emma and Jerome left for Forsytheto catch the 11 o'clock car. Have not heard yet how he was. Stella Lewis stayed with me. Tell Bill or Lawrence to come over and milk for us and stay with me tonight.
