Community Foundation of Macon County now accepting scholarship applications

Over $70,000 available for college

The Community Foundation of Macon County is pleased to announce that its online scholarship application for the 2017-2018 academic year opens on January 1, 2017, at

High school seniors who reside in Macon County and have been accepted at an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Additionally, current college students also should apply for scholarships. Only completed electronic applications will be considered. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 1, 2017 and Friday, March 31, 2017, at midnight. (Be sure to check individual scholarships for deadline).

The Community Foundation of Macon County works with generous donors who have established funds, and these funds benefit many students in Macon County who seek higher education. Foundation scholarship funds will provide over $70,000 for academic year 2017- 2018. Scholarship awards vary in size from $250 to $6,000.
