Food drive held Oct. 5

Forsyth residents have the convenience of two locations to drop off food to stock the shelves of local food pantries during the 2012 WSOY Community Food Drive that concludes Oct. 5. The collection boxes at Village Hall and Forsyth Public Library will be in place until noon on Oct. 5.

This year marks the first time that the Village will be an active participant since the drive began 11 years ago. The overall goal of the daylong event is to collect 650,000 pounds of food.

Village employees who volunteer will join in delivering the food donations.
