Village trick or treating hours

Trick or treating hours for Forsyth are 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Trick or treating, costume contest at mall

Bring the family to Hickory Point Mall on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m, to visit participating stores for candy and treats. The mall is also hosting a free costume contest at 5 p.m. in the Decatur Memorial Hospital Center Court. There will be five age group divisions ranging from newborns through age 12. The winner from each division will receive a $20 mall gift card and prizes will also be given to the second and third place finishers. Winners will be announced at 6:30 p.m. at the center court.

FUMC hosts collectibles sale

Forsyth United Methodist Church, 210 Ruehl Street, invites area residents and their families to attend “Eloise’s Treasures,” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3. This 50 percent off sale of boxed collectibles includes Christmas and other seasonal items. Refreshments provided. Call the church for more details at 877-1441.

Elderwatch meets Nov. 5

Elderwatch meets Monday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. in Forsyth Public Library’s community center. The speaker will be Laura Dick, director of Show Bus, a new low-cost public transportation system for residents of Macon and select surrounding counties. All residents are invited to attend.
