FUMC hosts holiday bazaar

Forsyth United Methodist Church on Ruehl Street will hold a Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Breads, cakes, candy, pies and a variety of cookies will be featured in the bake sale and cookie walk. There also will be a sale of knives, a silent auction and “Margaret’s Corner.” Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The menu includes a ham and beans meal with a drink for $5 or hot dogs and chips with a drink for $4. The event is sponsored by the Forsyth United Methodist Women.

Elderwatch gathers for their annual Holiday Potluck on Monday, Dec. 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Forsyth United Methodist Church. This month’s speaker is Macon County Sheriff Thomas Schneider, who will talk about the historic role of a sheriff.

The Garden Club of Decatur will hold its Christmas meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. at Hickory Point Banquet Room. The program “Holiday Magic” will be presented by designer Eldon Haab of Forget Me Not Florist in Bloomington. Reservations are required.
