Eagle Ridge pavement reconstruction on schedule

Thursday, October 30, 2014

Feutz Contractors continues to work feverishly on the Eagle Ridge subdivision pavement reconstruction project. So far, that pace appears to have the project running ahead of schedule.

According to Village Engineer, David Harp, of Bainbridge, Gee and Milanski & Associates, Inc., Feutz had put itself on an aggressive schedule, working from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., five days a week. In reality, they’ve been working six days per week and some nights past 7 p.m., according to Public Works Director Larry Coloni.

Depending on the weather, Feutz was projecting a completion date of Nov. 10, which Harp called a “best case scenario,” in a report to trustees. Harp did say that the work is going very well so far.

“I think it’s ahead of schedule at this point,” Coloni said, noting that with a few exceptions, he’s gotten mostly positive feedback from residents living near the construction.

Coloni and his department continue to keep Eagle Ridge residents up to date on the construction status via informational letters.

The contractor’s estimated price for the project is: $754,014.25, far below the nearest competitor’s bid.
