Finish line for library project moved back

Thursday, March 26, 2015

In her report to trustees for the March 16 board meeting, Forsyth Public Library Director Rachel Miller reported “a snag in week 3 of our renovations.”

She cited the cause as an issue with a run of carpet that had to be replaced before work could continue. The work had been on schedule, with the library set to reopen on March 16, but the delay, Miller wrote, would cost a few days.

“I am currently rescheduling the remaining painting, shelf moving and circulation desk assembly,” Miller wrote, adding that she would “have a more accurate view of an exact reopening date as these pieces fall into place.”

The sign out front indicated to patrons that they could expect the library to reopen on March 23.
