Forsyth Public Works busy removing snow, training and remodeling

Thursday, December 26, 2013

The Village’s Public Works crew has been busy this December with a variety of tasks:

  • Public Works Director Larry Coloni’s report to the board on Dec. 16 noted that he spent three hours spreading salt on village streets on Dec. 8.
  • On Dec. 9, Coloni was back out on the streets spreading more salt at 4 a.m. in an effort to control the ice.
  • On Dec. 10, Public Works staff attended a two-hour training seminar sponsored by Dunn Company on how to properly repair potholes.
  • The Public Works crew recently remodeled Village Hall bathrooms by replacing floors and trim. Later this month, they will make a return visit to redo the tile work in the building’s entrance.
