Forsyth signs to get facelift

Thursday, January 27, 2011

In the midst of snow removal duties following the Village-wide leaf vacuuming program, Public Works Director Larry Coloni and his crew found time to review Village signs after observing the community’s general appearance.

“We’re always conscious of how the Village appears to those who live here as well as those who travel through,” said Village Administrator Heather Kimmons, who encouraged Coloni’s decision to issue a work order to reface the Village’s entry signs. “The plan is to remove and replace the existing signs and resurface them with vinyl facings,” Coloni said. The work will be done in-house at a cost of $2,894. Life expectancy of the revamped signs is 10 years.
