Hickory Point Firefighters put out car fire at mall

On Tuesday, August 22 at 4:05 a.m., Hickory Point Fire Protection District’s Engine 435 responded to a call about a car fire in the parking lot of Hickory Point Mall. The vehicle was engulfed in flames, but the fire was quickly extinguished. The photo, courtesy of HPFPD, shows that the car received extensive damage as a result of the fire. No one was hurt in the incident, according to Fire Chief Dennis Downey.
