Next of Kiln
Saturday, July 13, 10-11:30 p.m., adults only, registration required
Why let the youngsters have all the fun? Regina Rhodes from Next of Kiln will instruct adults in making ceramic travel-themed wipe-off boards. The finished product is suitable for recording vacation-packing lists, titles of books to read on the beach or even everyday shopping reminders. Completed projects will be fired at the studio then returned to the library.

Sally the Clown
Tuesday, July 16, 2-3 p.m., all ages
Sally the Clown brings silliness and laughter to the library. It’s your ticket to summer fun!

Woven Map Mat
Thursday, July 18, 10-11:30 a.m., repeated 1-2:30 p.m., ages 6 and older, registration required
Strips of map combine with ribbon, yarn and other found fibers to form this attractive summer souvenir. Creating this unique woven mat is a fun DIY journey.

‘Homecoming’ Party
Tuesday, July 23, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
All are invited for lunch, games and prizes as “Have Book Will Travel” comes to an end. Ronald McDonald will join us for magic and excitement.

Gigapans and 3-D Photos
Thursday, July 25, 10-11:15 a.m., repeated 1-2:15 p.m., ages 6 and older, registration required
Learn how to turn your travel pictures into something more high tech using your digital camera or even your phone.

Food for Thought Book Discussion Group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18 for an Ice Cream Sundae Bar. The group will discuss “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Bookkeepers Book Discussion Group will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19. The featured book is “Cutting for Stone” by Abraham Verghese.

The adult craft program, Canvas Photo Art, on June 22 was quite popular. There were 25 attendees and a number of suggestions to repeat the program.
