Storytime is on

Historical Society meet and greet
Historical Society Meet and Greet sessions return on fourth Tuesdays this fall beginning Sept. 24. Members of the Hickory Point Township Historical Society will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. to provide assistance with local history materials available at the Forsyth Public Library.

On the road at Farm Progress
Forsyth Public Library had a presence at last month’s Farm Progress Show. Working in cooperation with The Kitty Lindsay Learning Resource Center at Richland Community College, Forsyth Public Library helped facilitate the Think Outside the Barn at Your Library booth. The booth provided an opportunity to raise awareness of libraries in small and rural communities. Staff members from a number of area libraries worked on the committee and contributed to the success of the booth. Library Director Rachel Miller and Youth Services Librarian Sandi Hayes both assisted with the booth during the show.

More access
Thanks to a donation of two computer tables and four chairs from the Decatur office of the Illinois Heartland Library System, along with some computers being replaced at Village Hall, the library will be able to expand public access to computers.

The Forsyth Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant I. Weekend and evening hours required. Send resume and three references to Rachel Miller, Forsyth Public Library, 268 S. Elwood, Forsyth, IL 62535. Deadline is Sept. 17.
