3M Cloud Library is here
Forsyth Public Library patrons have a new option for downloading ebooks. 3M Cloud Library is now included in the SHARE catalog, showing ebook versions alongside traditional copies as users browse the catalog.

3M Cloud Library can be used on tablets, smart phones, computers and ereaders with browser capability. The 3M Cloud Library App is available from the Apple App Store, Google Play and Nook Storefront. There is also an app available for PC or Mac. Have your library card number and PIN handy, and remember that because we are part of a consortium, our users choose “Illinois Heartland Library System” as their library name. Need a PIN? Contact the library to have one added to your account. Want more information? Check the 3M instruction page at or contact the Forsyth Public Library. 3M Cloud Library serves as a supplement to Library on the Go, which continues to supply ebooks and digital audio materials to Forsyth patrons. The 3M collection currently includes only ebooks, with the potential to add digital audio at a later date.

Family Reading Night
Forsyth Public Library held a Family Reading Night on Nov. 19 that saw 34 kids and 21 adults attend. Youth Services Librarian Sandi Hayes set up several stations around the library, including reading areas, refreshments, free donated books and a browsing cart where books were marked with QR codes that linked to book trailers or other multimedia features. Families could use library iPads or their own devices to view these features. A handout for parents listed websites with recommended read-alouds and also included QR codes linking to the sites. VolunTeens participated by reading their favorite books to kids.
