You’re Somebody’s Type
The Bloodmobile will visit the Forsyth Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 6. Donating blood costs nothing and gives other people another chance at life. Call the blood center toll free to sign up at (866) 448-3253 (GIVE-BLD) or schedule an appointment online using sponsor code 60659 at Walk-ins are also welcome.

Plug In and Play
PlayAway representative Susan Palmer will give a presentation Saturday, June 7 in the library about the library’s collection of audio materials. Free earbuds will be available for anyone who comes to learn about these self-contained audiobooks.

Youth Garden
Come show off your gardening skills 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10 and help members of the Garden Club of Decatur plant flowers at the library. The plants will be provided by Larry Reed, Forsyth Sunrise Rotary Club and Maroa-Forsyth High School’s Agricultural Department. In case of rain, the event will be moved to 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 13. All ages welcome; no registration necessary.

Juggling at the Library
Come to a hands-on juggling show 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at the library. Professional juggler Jason Kollum will demonstrate an array of balancing acts and variety stunts. Every audience member will learn beginning juggling and balancing skills. All ages are welcome. No registration is required. Don’t miss this excellent start to our exciting summer lineup. 

Animal Careers
A veterinarian from Northgate Pet Clinic will be at the library 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 to tell tweens and teens (ages 10 and older) about careers involving animals. Come learn about all the ways you can make a living working with our animal friends. No registration is necessary.

Animal Story Time
From 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, the library will hold Story Time. The session, which will focus on pets, will include books, songs, rhymes, crafts and fun with friends. A veterinarian will talk about dogs and cats, and there may even be a couple of furry friends for children to meet. This program is for preschoolers ages 2 to 5. No registration is necessary.

Children entering grades 4 to 8 are welcome to join us for our Page-Turners Book Club 11 a.m. to noon Friday, June 13. We will create a commercial about our favorite books and “sell” them to the other book club members. Registration is required.
