Grand Reopening
The Forsyth Public Library’s Grand Reopening Celebration will be on Tuesday, April 14 from 4-7 p.m. The event will celebrate both the completion of the library’s renovations as well as National Library Week. Refreshments will be served, and music will be provided by Salty Strings from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Food for Thought
The Food for Thought Book Group will meet on April 9 at 6 p.m. to discuss Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. Starting off with a bang — a school trivia night that ends in a riot — the novel explores the power of the little lies people tell in order to survive.

Bookkeepers
The Bookkeepers Book Group will meet at 10 a.m. on April 17 to discuss In the Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick. The book is a nonfiction account of the survival of the crew of the whale ship, Essex, which was left adrift for more than 90 days after their ship was rammed and sunk by an angry sperm whale.

Money Smart Kids Program
On Saturday, April 18 from 10-11 a.m., stop by the library to learn how to have fun with money. Kids will read Lemonade for Sale by Stuart J. Murphy, play fun, money-related activities and learn how to decide between saving and spending their money. This program is for children ages 5 and up. Registration is required.

Story Time and Baby TALK
Baby TALK and Story Time have resumed at their normal times. Baby TALK meets Wednesday mornings from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Led by trained Baby TALK instructors, Baby TALK is for children ages birth through 3. Story Time meets Thursday mornings from 10-10:45 a.m., and is for children ages 3-5. Story Times in April will feature themes such as Easter, flowers and farm animals. Don’t miss the fun!

Magazines at the library
Looking for some light reading, craft ideas or just want to get caught up on current events? The library subscribes to more than 120 magazines, including our two newest additions: Flea Market Décor and iPhone Life. Check them out just like a book, or relax and read them in our coffee bar area. 
