Hearing Wedding Bells?
For all the June brides and grooms looking for a little bit of inspiration for the big day, why not check out Zinio? Zinio is a digital newsstand platform that offers full digital copies of magazines that you can view on your computer or mobile device. Check out as many issues as you want and keep them in your account as long as you like. Zinio’s collection of almost 150 titles includes Martha Stewart Weddings, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Brides Magazine and more.  

Tuesday Hot Tracks
Forsyth Public Library’s fun Tuesday programming continues on June 16 from 2-3 p.m. with a family act extravaganza featuring the Hanson Family’s juggling routines and gravity-defying unicycle tricks. The following week, on June 23 from 2-3 p.m., experience the uplifting and exhilarating Fonziba Drums showcase, where you can not only learn about the culture and home life of a West African family but also play a hand-carved jembe drum!

The Bookkeepers book group will meet at 10 a.m. on June 19 to discuss The Round House by Louis Erdrich. The novel tells the story of a boy on the Ojibwe reservation in North Dakota who seeks justice and answers in the wake of a terrible crime that will forever change his family.

Popcorn and a Movie
Come to the library on Wednesday, June 24 from 1-2:30 p.m. to watch Lilo and Stitch (PG). Popcorn will be provided for all moviegoers. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is necessary.

Preserving Family Photos
Adults are welcome to swing by the library on Saturday, June 27 from 10-11:30 a.m. for a presentation on how to take care of treasured family photographs. Ann Adkesson, a retired area librarian, will showcase the best methods and materials for preserving your old photos for years to come.

Teen Canvas Pictures
On Wednesday, June 17, children ages 13 and up are invited to come to the library at 1 p.m. to make their own canvas print art from a photograph. Sign-ups are available until June 11. Participants must submit a high-quality picture no later than June 12.

Preschool Story Time
Children ages 2-5 are welcome to join Story Time every Thursday in June from 10-11 a.m. These sessions feature stories and crafts based on fun rhythmic themes. The theme for June 18 is Music and Water Games. Story Time on June 25 will feature bird songs. No registration is necessary.

Kid Talk
From 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Wednesday mornings, children ages 4-8 are invited to meet in the library’s conference room for reading fun. Kid Talk is designed for parents who take their younger children to Baby Talk, but all are welcome. No registration is necessary.

Beaded Bracelet Craft
On Saturday, June 13 from 10-11 a.m., instructors Darris Weakly and Shelly Smith will teach adults how to craft their own beautiful bracelets from colorful Czech beads and embellishments. Don’t forget to register, as seating is limited. 
