Use Your Smartphone As Your Library Card!
Have you ever forgotten your library card, or wished you didn’t have to carry so many pieces of plastic? Now you can use your smartphone in place of your library card! At Forsyth Public Library, we’ve recently added a scanner that will read barcodes from a smartphone screen as well as from a library card. You just need to download a free loyalty card app (CardStar and Key Ring are a couple that work well), then follow the instructions within the app for loading your library card. Just taking a picture of your card doesn’t necessarily produce an image that can be scanned. Give it a try!
