Crazy 8s Math Club
Crazy 8s Math Club for kids in grades 3-5 begins on Tuesday, March 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. and runs for eight consecutive weeks. Please register for this eight-week program in advance and enjoy mischief-making activities like Bouncy Dice Explosion and Toilet Paper Olympics! There will be a new program every Tuesday. Bedtime Math’s Crazy 8s Club is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help kids love numbers so they can handle the math in real life. There are over 5,000 clubs nationwide and growing.

Make-a-Mug Craft
Ages 6 and up are invited to personalize a mug with Sharpie markers on Saturday, March 5 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Advance registration is required. Call Forsyth Public Library at 877-8174 for more information or to sign up.

Story Time
Preschoolers (ages 3-5) and their parents/caregivers are invited to the library for Story Time every Thursday at 10 a.m. On Feb. 18, we will read stories about getting dressed for winter. Don’t forget your mittens! The theme for Feb. 25 will be hibernation. Come learn about what animals do in winter!

Baby TALK
Parents and caregivers and their young children (ages 0-3) are encouraged to attend Baby TALK times at the library. Baby TALK provides children and parents with social interaction and positive parenting strategies. Sessions include simple rhymes, stories, dancing and play time. Baby TALK meets every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

Bookkeepers
The Bookkeepers Book Group will meet on Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. to discuss The Wright Brothers by David McCullough. Booklist gave the book a starred review, calling it “an outstanding saga of the lives of two men who left such a giant footprint on our modern age.” All are welcome!

Tech Club
Tech Club will continue to navigate and explore the wide variety of travel apps and tech resources at its next meeting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Please join us!

Spring Card Workshop
Look ahead to spring holidays by attending a card-making class for adults at the library on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Stampin’ Up demonstrator Judi Carpenter will lead participants in making three cards suitable for sending spring greetings. All supplies will be provided. No prior card-making experience is necessary. Please register in advance.

Windows 10
You’ve taken the plunge and upgraded to Windows 10! Now how do you find what you need and do what you want with it? Come and find out the answers to these questions and more on Tuesday, February 23 at 6 p.m. Blake Rowland from Staples Tech Center in Forsyth will demonstrate the new features of Windows 10 at this session. Specific Windows 10 questions are welcome. Please contact the library in advance at 877-8174 with any topics you would like included.

Magazine & Used Materials Sale
Mark your calendar for Forsyth Public Library’s 2016 Magazine & Used Materials Sale! The sale will be held in the library’s conference room on Friday March 11 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Saturday, March 12 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Items include: DVDs (50¢ each), magazines (10¢ each), and VHS videos, audiobooks and books (25¢ each). Sale items have been withdrawn from the library’s collection for reasons of datedness, condition or lack of circulation. Proceeds from the sale go to the Village of Forsyth’s general fund.

Lost and Found
The library is cleaning out the Lost and Found, and a variety of gloves, hats, baby blankets and other items are waiting for their owners to claim them. Any items remaining in the Lost and Found after Feb. 20 will be donated to charity.

Holiday Closing
The library will be closed Monday, February 15 for Presidents Day. 
