Monster Makeup Madness
Try out different Halloween looks using face paint at this program for tweens and teens (ages 10 and up) on Saturday, October 29 at Forsyth Public Library from 1-2 p.m. Registration required.

Sew Much Fun
Learn a new and valuable skill at Sew Much Fun: Hand Sewing for Kids! Join us Thursday, November 3 from 4-5 p.m. and make something useful! Grade 3 and up. Registration required.

Learning Local History: Document and Preserve Your Family History
On Saturday, November 5 from 10-11:30 a.m., come learn more about what it takes to preserve your family’s history. From using pedigree charts to document your lineage to preserving and protecting important family photographs and documents, Gail Leonard of the Decatur Genealogical Society and Archivist Becky Damptz from the Decatur Public Library will help you get started! Mark your calendar!

LEGO Movie Making
Explore the world of stop-motion movie making using LEGO bricks, mini-figures and an iPad on Saturday, November 5 from 1-2 p.m. Registration required, for kids grade 3 and up!

Food For Thought Book Group
The November selection of the Food For Thought book group is Night by Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel, who was imprisoned at Auschwitz and Buchenwald during the Holocaust and liberated by the U.S. Army at age 16. Night bears witness to those who survived and those who perished. Food For Thought will meet Thursday, November 10 at 6 p.m. to discuss this powerful account of Hitler’s death camps.

Festive Coaster DIY
Stampin’ Up demonstrator Lori Mellon will demonstrate how to create your own personalized set of four festive coasters using patterned paper and ceramic tiles on Saturday, November 12 from 10-11 a.m. All supplies are provided. Registration required.

Tech Club
The library’s Tech Club continues to explore Facebook on Tuesday, November 15 at 10 a.m. Lisa Marz will lead the group in hands-on practice of all they’ve been learning about this social networking site. Be sure to bring your devices so you can participate. All are welcome. No registration necessary. 

Bookkeepers Book Group
The Bookkeepers book group’s November title is The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Swedish author Katrina Bivald. Library Journal gave the novel a starred review, calling it “[A] gentle and intelligent Midwestern tale.” Bookkeepers meets Friday, November 18 at 10 a.m. to discuss this debut novel.

Tasty Turkey Cookie Craft
Drop in Saturday, November 19 any time between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to make a turkey using an Oreo, peanut butter cup, pretzels and candy corn! Gobble gobble!

Story Time
Preschoolers (ages 3 to 5) and their caregivers are encouraged to join Miss Sandi and Miss Lisa for fall fun at Story Time on Fridays from 10-10:45 a.m. Each session includes stories, crafts and more! Upcoming themes include: Halloween (October 28), Turkeys (November 4) and Thanksgiving (November 18). Please note that Story Time will not meet November 11. Siblings welcome; no registration required.

Baby TALK
Join other parents and caregivers of young children every Wednesday from 9:30 -10:15 a.m. at informal Baby TALK sessions. Baby TALK is for ages birth to 3, and no registration is necessary. Each session includes time to discuss challenges and accomplishments in the lives of our children. Babies and toddlers will enjoy the songs, stories and time to play! Hope to see you there!
