Elderwatch will meet in the Community Room at the Forsyth Public Library on Monday, July 3 at 1 p.m. 

Afternoon Matinee
It’s movie day at Forsyth Public Library on Wednesday, July 5 from 1-2:40 p.m. Come watch Toby Tyler, the story of a young boy who runs away to join a traveling circus. All ages welcome, but children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

Really READiculous
The READiculous team of Ms. Susan and Ms. Alissa will bring children’s stories to life on Tuesday, July 11 from 2-3 p.m. No registration is necessary for this fast-paced, family-friendly show.

Origami Fun 
Try your hand at the art of paper folding on Wednesday, July 12 at 1 p.m. Create your own amazing creatures and treasures to take home. Dr. Samir Patel will share techniques for making interactive origami creations. For ages 8-18. Please register in advance.   

Board Games
Gear up for an afternoon of checkers, Mexican Train, Jenga and more on Thursday, July 13 from 1-2 p.m. All ages are welcome; no registration required.

Imaginative Pre-K
Come join the fun at these Story Time sessions specially designed for ages 2-6. Each themed session will feature a fun craft to create and take home. On Thursday, July 6 there will be opportunities for LEGO and DUPLO play. On Thursday, July 13 the Macon County Conservation District will present Owls: Whoo Goes There? Story Times are from 10-11 a.m., and no registration is necessary.

The library is the place to be on Wednesday mornings for families with children from birth to age 3. Drop in for Baby TALK sessions from 9:30-10:15 a.m. each Wednesday. No registration is necessary.

Opportunities to consult with writer J.D. Webb continue in July. Mr. Webb will be available at the library on Monday, July 10 from 2-3:30 p.m. to meet with anyone age 10 and above about all aspects of the writing craft.

Watercolor with Jennifer Stout
Instructor Jennifer Stout will demonstrate step-by-step techniques for creating a beautiful lighthouse in an adult watercolor class on Saturday, July 15 from 10-11:30 a.m. Advance registration is required.

Food for Thought
Food for Thought Book Group meets on Thursday, July 13 at 6 p.m. to discuss Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. New participants are always welcome.

Summer Reading
It’s not too late to register for the summer reading program, Reading By Design. Stop by the library and see how all ages can earn prizes for reading during the summer.
