Story Time

Do you have a child age 3-5? Forsyth Public Library’s Friday story times are just for them! They can come at 10 a.m. with their caregiver to listen to books, participate in fun, themed activities and make a craft. Join us at the library December 15 for Reindeer Games! It will be our last session of 2017, but story times resume on Friday, January 12. Siblings are welcome to attend.

Baby TALK

Baby TALK will not meet December 20, 27 or January 3 but will resume at the usual 9:30 a.m. time on Wednesday, January 10.

Bags & Tags

It’s fun to give gifts to friends and family and even more fun when you create your own personalized wrapping. If you are ages 6 and up, stop in between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16. We will have everything you need to create individualized gift tags and bags.

Pixar Film Fest

Bored at home during winter break? Come join us Thursday, December 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a Pixar Party! We’ll watch Disney Pixar short films and have popcorn. Beat cabin fever! Escape for an afternoon of fun.

Beat Boredom with DVDs

Winter is a great time to cozy up with our wide variety of DVDs. The library has hundreds of great DVDs for all ages, including both current and classic movies, and can help you request any titles we may not own. Find a list of the movies and other audio-visual materials most recently added to the collection by clicking on the “new this month” link on the library’s webpage.

Tech Kits for Kids

Have some family fun creating with Play Sprockets, trying out virtual reality glasses or even programming Ozobots by checking out one of the library’s tech kits this winter break. Families may check out one kit at a time, and kits circulate for one week.

Snow Dough

Celebrate winter by creating snow dough from simple ingredients. Use the library’s tools and toys to play with your “snow,” then take it home for more fun. Come to the library on Tuesday, January 2 any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for indoor winter fun.

Happy Holidays!

The library will be closed December 25 and 26.
