Terrific Tuesdays

Tune in on Tuesday, July 3 from 2-3 p.m. for the Dulcimer Guy, Mike Anderson, who will bring a music show and dulcimer concert geared especially for kids and their families to Forsyth Public Library. He blends music, storytelling and humor for a fun and entertaining program for all ages. Be sure to come back on July 10 from 2-3 p.m. to see the amazing and talented Hanson Family. Watch their dazzling juggling routines and gravity-defying unicycle tricks!

Story Time

Preschoolers! Come join our fun transportation-themed Story Time sessions at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for ages 2-6. On July 5 we will feature all kinds of ride-on toys! On July 12, come to our aircraft story time! Each session features a fun craft to make and take home. Siblings are welcome, and no registration is required.


Parents and caregivers of children ages birth to 3 are welcome to join their youngsters for a time of interaction through story, song and play. Grownups can share challenges and accomplishments. Baby Talk is every Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m. No registration is required.


Join local suspense author J.D. Webb on Monday, July 9 from 1-2 p.m. to learn more about writing and getting published. Anyone 10 and up is encouraged to meet with Mr. Webb for specialized one-on-one consultations. No advance registration required.

Star Lab

Come marvel at the night sky in the middle of the day with Rock Springs’ Star Lab Mobile Planetarium. A member of the Nature Center staff will guide children through a stargazing adventure. Time slots are available every half hour from noon-4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11. Registration is required, but there are still spots available. Call 877-8174 to sign up.

Food For Thought Book Club

Food For Thought book club discusses The Secret Diary of Hendrik Groen: 83 ¼ Years Old by Hendrik Groen on Thursday, July 12 at 6 p.m. Reviewers describe this book as “a funny, big-hearted tale about an old man who is young at heart.” New members are always welcome!

Block Printing Class

Adults are invited to learn the ancient art of block printing and gain the skills for a new hobby. On Saturday, July 14 at 10 a.m., instructor Jennifer Stout will guide you through the process of carving a stamp, then making prints with your design. No experience is necessary. Participants will leave with their artwork and reusable printer’s block. Please register in advance by calling the library at 877-8174.
