January weather is unpredictable, but visitors to the Forsyth Public Library can create some frosty characters without a single flake of snow. Visit the Library between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, to create an edible snowman using marshmallows, candy and other delicious ingredients. These silly snowmen are guaranteed to be as adorable as they are tasty.

Did Santa put an e-reader under your tree this year?

Put it to use with digital downloads from the Forsyth Public Library’s Library On the Go. E-books, audio books, music, and video are available for free online checkout and are compatible with almost all brands of e-readers and tablets, including Nook, iPad, Kindle and Kindle Fire.

Digital materials are “checked out” with your Forsyth library card and available for you to read or listen to for a set time period. When the due date arrives, the material will expire from your device and be automatically “returned,” so it is never overdue.

Begin using Library On the Go by clicking on its logo in the Resources section on the lower right hand side of the library’s web page.(www. forsythlibrary.com) On this page you can check the list of supported devices or immediately begin searching for the books or other items you want to download to your device. Have questions about using Library On the Go or need help downloading items? Contact the library at 877-8174.
