Welcome, Sandi!

Forsyth Public Library welcomes Sandi Hayes as youth services librarian. Sandi comes to our library from Hope Welty Public Library in Cerro Gordo. Plan to stop by the library and welcome Sandi to Forsyth.

Kids: Come make a birdhouse

Spend the first Saturday of spring decorating a miniature birdhouse to sit on your bookshelf or windowsill. Children are invited to visit Forsyth Public Library anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, to personalize a petite wooden birdhouse. No registration necessary.

Story Quilt Storytimes

Children ages 3-5 are invited to attend storytime from 10-10:45 a.m. on Thursdays, March 1 through April 26 in the library’s conference room. Saturday sessions are scheduled for March 10 and April 14. Each week includes stories and activities geared toward preschoolers. No registration is necessary.

March storytimes will feature book characters, including Clifford, Arthur, Curious George and other favorites. April sessions will focus on weather. Children’s Librarian Sandi Hayes encourages families with children ages 3-5 to join her for storytimes and adds that these sessions go beyond fun to develop imagination, strengthen listening skills, build vocabulary and provide opportunities for social interaction.

Baby TALK@the Library

Children from birth to age 3 have their own special day at Forsyth Public Library. Visit the library any Wednesday in March, April or May at 9:30 a.m. to participate in BabyTALK or Tales & Tunes. These activities provide early literacy activities, movement, and fun!

Call 877-8174 or email to sandihayes. fpl@gmail.com for more information about any session.
