It’s a Monster Mash Forsyth youth ages 8 and above are invited to a Monster Mash make up session at Forsyth Public Library Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 4-5 p.m. Preregistration is required by calling the library at 877-8174. There is a limit of 12 children. A variety of monster make up is available.

Family Reading Event J.C. Fultz of WAND’s Storm Center 17 will be the celebrity presenter at the Family Reading event held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. The Storm Center van will be on hand for a peek inside, and there will be book giveaways for children up to age 12.

The event will also focus on “10 Great Reasons to Read Aloud to Children,” including reason No. 7: Children’s books today are so well written that they are fun even for adults. Come to the library to learn the other nine reasons why you should read to your child. (The list is compliments of the Family Reading Partnership in Ithaca, N.Y.)

Ideas encouraged for proposed new book discussion group The library seeks your ideas to help get a new evening book discussion group off the ground. Have suggestions of what night to meet and what book to read? Call the library to voice your opinion at 877-8174.
