Developmental Screenings
Developmental Screenings will be held Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Maroa-Forsyth Grade School, 641 E Shafer St. in Forsyth. Screenings are for children who will be 3 or 4 by Sept. 1, 2014. Please call Maroa-Forsyth Grade School at 877-2023 to make an appointment. Please note that this is a developmental screening only. Maroa-Forsyth will no longer have a Pre-Kindergarten Program.

HPFD Breakfast
The Hickory Point Fire Department is hosting an All You Care To Eat Pancake and Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast on Saturday, March 1 from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Hickory Point Fire Station, 450 S. Smith St. in Forsyth. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under.

There will be food, drinks, a 50/50 drawing, and while you’re there you can check out some of the equipment used to fight fires and keep us all safe.

Proceeds from the event go to support firefighter safety equipment, sponsorship of youth activities and support for fallen firefighters

Men of Maroa Breakfast
The Men of Maroa and the Forsyth United Methodist Church present an All You Can Eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on Saturday, March 15 from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Forsyth United Methodist Church, 210 E. Ruehl St. in Forsyth.

In addition to pancakes and sausage, there will be biscuits and gravy, juice, milk and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 12. Proceeds from the event will benefit mission projects. For more information, call 877-1441.
