Forsyth marks 19 years as a Tree City USA
On March 24, Public Works Director Larry Coloni and Tree Board members Roger Mulholland and Mike Unruh attended the Tree City USA awards ceremony in Springfield, where the village received its 19th Tree City USA plaque. Tree City USA is a national program that recognizes communities with a demonstrated commitment to caring for and managing their public trees. As part of the annual Arbor Day celebration coming up April 24, Tree Board members and Coloni will distribute tree seedlings to several classes at Maroa-Forsyth Grade School and Decatur Christian School.
