P-Z Commission changes
In Planning and Zoning Commission news, at the May 4 board meeting, Village Administrator David Strohl recommended the appointment of Brandon Janvrin as a regular member of the commission to take the place of Jim Peck, who was elected to the board of trustees. Previously, Janvrin had been an alternate member. In Janvrin’s place as an alternate, Strohl recommended that Steve Ragan, an electrical engineer with Architectural Expressions, be appointed to fill that spot. All votes were Yea.

Cardinal Soccer Camp
2015 Cardinal Soccer Camp is scheduled for 9-11 a.m., June 15-17 at Warrensburg-Latham High School. The rain date is June 18. This camp is for boys and girls entering grades 1-8. The camp emphasizes rules of the game, fundamental play, tactical structure, training techniques and individual skills — all while having fun playing soccer. Cost: $40. USTA Midwest Team Tennis
Running from June 8 to July 21, for kids 5-18 who are beginners or advanced beginners, USTA Midwest Team Tennis is back at Forsyth Park. Basic skills will be learned transitioning into real play. Opening Kick-off night is Tuesday, June 2 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Forsyth Park Tennis Courts. Online registration: $119 for one day and $170 for both days. Deadline for online registration: June 4.
