Public Works staff puts the fix on wind-damaged dugout

Thursday, January 12, 2017

Heavy spring winds last April came roaring through town and cut a path of destruction through the Village’s baseball fields in Forsyth Park.

A light pole fell at Diamond No. 1 and damaged some fencing. And a dugout at Diamond No. 5, on the visitors’ side, had its roof blown off.

According to Public Works Director Larry Coloni, his staff members recently handled the repair job that fixed the dugout’s roof. Of course, baseball season seems way off in the distance, but it’s nice to be ready well in advance, and it’s nice to dream of warm-weather sports.
