Staff profile: Meet Kim Taylor

Thursday, January 12, 2017

Editor’s note: To serve the community with both efficiency and a personal touch requires a dedicated Village Hall staff. These hard-working individuals take pride in their work and put an emphasis on public service. Even if you know them very well, and not everyone does, it’s worthwhile to introduce them here on the pages of the Village’s newsletter and thank them for all they do. Today’s feature is the first in a series that will run occasionally in upcoming editions of the Village Vision.

Name: Kim Taylor

Job title: Administrative Assistant

Number of years working for the Village: 10 years in August 2017

Kim’s duties, in her own words: My duties are wide. I perform the Village monthly water/sewer billing and process water/sewer applications and new permits. Additionally, I process reservations for offered Village facilities and am responsible for coordinating committee notices and records, as well as answering the Village’s phone lines and assisting with residents’ needs or directing inquiries to the appropriate department. I also provide administrative and secretarial support to other administrative staff as needed.

Favorite part of the job: Interacting with residents and meeting new ones!

Work philosophy: Loving what you do and helping others, that is really what I do. I love knowing that I have helped with something, even if it is as small as finding a phone number for someone or helping spread the word about a lost pet! Like they say, “We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone!”

Family: Husband Rob Taylor; children are Jason, Tiffany, Nicole, Emily and Lauren; grandchildren are Hailie, Colin, Akiri, Kael and Cort
