Youth Garden returns; library plans summer programs

A Youth Garden will bloom again in 2011 on the grounds of Forsyth Public Library. Children of all ages are invited to the library on Wednesday, June 8, beginning at 10 a.m. to plant flowers and beautify the library.

The Garden Club of Decatur will provide the expertise and planting guidance; Forsyth Sunrise Rotary will contribute the plants.

“Youth Garden is just one of many events taking place at the library this summer,” says Children’s Librarian Rachel Miller, “Tuesdays in June and July feature a variety of programs, ranging from reptiles to magic to human hamster balls!”

Thursdays in June are reserved for the popular “Littles” program, with stories, crafts, and activities for ages 2-5. Additional programs include Art Academy sessions and special events for teens. Check the library’s website,, for more details.
